Docent Informational Meeting- Learn about Becoming a Docent!

Interested in learning how to hold an owl? Want to teach children about tigers? Learn more about becoming a Tulsa Zoo Docent. The Tulsa Zoo is searching for adults that enjoy being outdoors, helping others learn, working with animals and meeting new people. Come to one of the Tulsa Zoo Docent Informational Meetings to learn more about this volunteer program.
The informational meetings are from 6-7 p.m. on Jan. 30 or Feb. 4 at the Tulsa Zoo Helmerich Discovery Center Auditorium. Guests are asked to enter through the front zoo gate and you will be directed to the auditorium. Both meetings will cover the same information, so you only need to attend one of the meetings.
Docent training for accepted applicants will begin in February. Volunteers for this program must be18 years old or older. Adults interested in discovering more about the docent program at the Tulsa Zoo can attend one of the meetings or email the Education Department.
