WALTZ on the Wild Side
WALTZ on the Wild Side is the Tulsa Zoo’s premier fundraising event. Over two decades strong and better than ever, WALTZ is responsible for building most of the major projects at the zoo. From the Chimpanzee Connection, Elephant Encounter, Penguin Exhibit, Children’s Zoo and the new Helmerich Sea Lion Cove, WALTZ supporters have helped this zoo continue to grow year after year! This one-of-a-kind event is every third Friday in June from 7pm to Midnight. The zoo closes for the day to prepare for this event.
ZooRun
Over 40 years and going strong, ZooRun has become a signature event of the zoo and as the second oldest race in the city, it has become a Tulsa tradition. This event has grown in size and prestige over the years and has clearly become a staple for serious runners, students and families alike. With a 5k, 10k and family fun run, there is a pace for everyone! This year’s race will take place on October 6, 2012.
