Seasonal Camps
Tulsa Zoo hosts a variety of educational camps throughout the year including Spring Break Camp, Summer Camp, Fall Break Camp and Winter Camp.
Join us on wildlife adventures while we explore the world around us, make new friends, and celebrate nature! All camps feature age-appropriate programs, tours, games, creative projects, up-close animal encounters and so much more!

Week Camps
BUGS! – Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22: SOLD OUT
Come see what all the BUZZ is about! During our week-long camp, we will learn how cool bugs can be and discover the vital role these amazing invertebrates play in our ecosystem. Most importantly, we’ll learn how to help protect them, as we explore how and why people and our animal friends cannot live without them.
Times: 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., after care option available.
After-care – 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Cost: *$260 for the week
With after-care – $310

Got the outdoor bug? Campers will discover how to be true nature warriors while hiking through the Zoo and some of its wild areas, all while exploring the animals that call it home. Adventure awaits! **This camp will not only explore the zoo and its animals, but we will take a short trip through Mohawk Park to visit our neighbors at Oxley Nature Center for a fully immersive outdoor hike!
Life in the Water

This camp is all wet! Join us for waterlogged days about oceans, lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams. Learn about the diversity of animals and plants that call water home from Oklahoma all the way to the oceans. Water play for the campers is also included during the week!

Connecting with animals and nature starts in our own backyards. Campers will discover how to be true nature warriors while hiking through the Zoo and some of its wild areas, all while exploring the animals that call it home. This camp will focus on insects and how they live and interact with animals and people. Adventure awaits!
**This camp will not only explore the zoo and its animals, but we will take a short trip through Mohawk Park to visit our neighbors at Oxley Nature Center for a fully immersive outdoor hike!
SAFE: Endangered Animals
Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28: Register

Some animals are facing extinction and need our help! “Kid power” is an amazing force that can be put into action for the animals. SAFE stands for “saving animals from extinction” and is an international conservation initiative created by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Campers will learn what is being done to keep their favorite endangered species at the Tulsa Zoo SAFE, and what they can do at home to make an impact across the globe.
Aquatic Biology
Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12: Register

Explore the wide range of aquatic habitats and the living things that call them home. During this week, campers will learn about the diversity of plants and animals found in our oceans, lakes, rivers, and ponds.
**This camp concludes the week with a scientific dissection of a small fish to better understand how animals live and breath in water.

During this week, we will explore the zoo with different eyes and take a look at some behind the scenes areas, meet some keepers and other staff, and find out how much work goes into running a zoo! As we explore the Zoo, we will learn about the importance of observation and exploration as it relates to biology, conservation and working in a zoo. Campers will have all the “inside” information!
**For the safety of all, direct contact with exhibit animals is not possible. Campers may experience behind the scenes areas, but direct contact with animals will not be allowed. We will enjoy some close up encounters with some of our Education Ambassador Animals.
A Zoo Designed By You

Learn the four basic needs that every animal must have to survive, and how those needs translate into exhibit design and animal care at the zoo. During this exciting week of camp, your skills will be put to the test when constructing your own zoo model designed just by you!

Who works at the zoo? Join us in this 3 days camp to explore the wide range of career opportunties that can be found at a zoo. Meet and connect with the professionals that help support and promote animal conservation in the wild.
