ANSWERS
1. When will I receive my membership card?
If you purchase your zoo membership during the months of June – February, your membership card should arrive in the mail two weeks from your date of purchase. However, if you join or renew during March, April or May, processing is slowed due to increased sales. Your membership card will arrive in the mail four to six weeks you’re your date of purchase. All zoo memberships are active from your date of purchase. You may visit the zoo FREE immediately when you present your temporary membership card and photo ID to the Tulsa Zoo Friends’ Information Office. If you purchased or renewed on our Web site, bring your E-mail receipt and photo ID.

2. Can I visit the zoo before I receive my membership card?
Sure! Just bring your temporary membership card and your photo ID to the zoo’s Information office to verify your membership. If you purchased or renewed on our Web site, bring your E-mail receipt and photo ID. The information office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. What if I don't want to purchase/renew my membership online?
No problem! There are four other ways you can purchase or renew your membership: 1) In person: Visit the Tulsa Zoo Friends Information Office daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2) By phone: Call the Tulsa Zoo Friends Membership Office at (918) 669-6603 or (918) 669-6630. 5. When does my membership expire?
All Tulsa Zoo Friends memberships are valid for one year. Your membership is active from the day you join and expires at the end of the month the following year. For example, if you sign up or renew your membership March 1, 2009, it is active that day and will expire March 31, 2010.

6. Does my membership include unlimited admission?
Yes! Membership includes unlimited, year-round admission to the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum during regular operating hours.

7. Is there a charge for parking?
No. Tulsa Zoo Friends members do not pay to park in Mohawk Park. However, a $2 parking fee is charged for non-members on weekends and holidays during the months of April through October. If you purchase or renew your membership at the Tulsa Zoo, a parking decal will be included in your welcome packet. If you purchase or renew your membership through the mail, fax or online, a parking decal should arrive in the mail with your membership card. If you did not receive or have misplaced your parking decal, you may request a replacement decal: 1) In person: Visit the Tulsa Zoo Friends Information Office daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2) By phone: Call the Membership Office at (918) 669-6603 or (918) 669-6630. 8. How do I submit an address change?
You may change your address for your membership and ZooNews subscription: 1) In person: Visit the Tulsa Zoo Friends Information Office daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2) By phone: Call the membership office at (918) 669-6603 or (918) 669-6630. The membership office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. 3) By e-mail: Send an email to members@tulsazoo.org. 9. Can I give my membership to a friend or family member to use in my place?
No. Tulsa Zoo Friends memberships are non-transferable and are only valid for the person(s) whose name(s) appears on the card. Supporting photo ID is required for entrance.

10. Can I visit the zoo if I lost my membership card?
Sure! Just bring your photo ID and stop by the Tulsa Zoo Friends Information Office to verify your membership status. 11. What if I didn't receive my membership card?
If you purchased your membership during the months of June – February and it has been more than three weeks since the date of purchase/renewal OR if you purchased your membership during March, April or May and it has been more than seven weeks since the date of purchase/renewal, call the membership office at (918) 669-6603 or e-mail members@tulsazoo.org. The membership office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.

12. Can I still receive my discount at zoo gift shops without my membership card?
No. To receive your gift shop discount, you must present your current membership card and valid photo ID. An additional or replacement membership card can be purchased: 1) In person: Visit the Tulsa Zoo Friends Information Office daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2) By phone: Call the membership office at (918) 669-6603 or (918) 669-6630. 13. Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes! Your payment, less the fair market value of the benefits you receive, is deductible for income tax purposes. Under the Internal Revenue Services guidelines, the estimated value of standard-level membership benefits is not substantial; therefore the full amount of your payment is a deductible contribution. For tax deduction information for donor level memberships including Order of the Ostrich, Order of the Snow Leopard, Order of the Chimpanzee, Order of the Lion and Order of the Elephant, call (918) 669-6603 or members@tulsazoo.org between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

14. Is my membership accepted at other zoos?
Yes! There are more than 100 zoos and aquariums throughout the United States that will offer you FREE or discounted admission as a Tulsa Zoo Friends member. To view the list, click here. If the zoo or aquarium you would like to visit is not listed, you may want to contact them, as some will offer other admission discounts.

15. Do I get discounted admission to zoo events as a member?
Yes! There are several zoo events and activities throughout the year to which Tulsa Zoo Friends members will receive discounted admission/tickets. Some discounted events and activities include ZooFari, WALTZ on the Wild Side and HallowZOOeen. For more information about these events, please call (918) 669-6614 or email events@tulsazoo.org.

16. Can I get into the Jenks Aquarium for free as a Tulsa Zoo Friends member?
No. At this time, the Jenks Aquarium does not participate in the reciprocal program.

17. Does the Oklahoma City Zoo allow Tulsa Zoo Friends members in free?
No. But the Oklahoma City Zoo does offer Tulsa Zoo Friends members a 50 percent discount on admission fees.

18. What is/how can I sign up for Starry Safari?
Starry Safari is the Tulsa Zoo’s member-only overnight event. Each Starry Safari season begins in the spring and continues through the fall. For just $30 for adults and $25 for children ages 3 to 21, Starry Safari campers enjoy dinner, an evening animal chat, free train and carousel rides, a marshmallow roast, enchanting storytelling around a blazing campfire, breakfast and a morning animal presentation. Please call the membership office at (918) 669-6603 for more information or to request a reservation form. The membership office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
