Member Events
Tulsa Zoo Friends members enjoy several member-only events throughout the year.
Zoobilee … featuring Peter Cottontail is your spring festival that returns each year on the Saturday before Easter. From 8 – 10 a.m., join us for this fun, family-friendly event!
Activities include “penguin egg” hunts, first for children ages 4-12 and next for children ages 0-3; an up-close look at the Children’s Zoo and personal interaction with one of our resident llamas! You’ll also enjoy FREE pictures with Peter Cottontail provided by Walgreens Tulsa, FREE train & carousel rides, arts & crafts, Jupiter Jumps, face painting, interactive Docent stations and more!
Cost is $5 per person in advance and $6 at the door on the day of the event; donor level members (Order of the Ostrich and above) and children 2 and under (not participating in the egg hunt) are FREE. Zoo gates will be open from 8 – 9 a.m. All activities will continue until 10 a.m.

Starry Safari, your zoo camp-out sure to be an adventure to remember, offers activities for the entire family, including FREE train & carousel rides, Nature Exchange activities, docent animal chats and more! Begin your evening with dinner outdoors courtesy of the zoo’s A Taste of the Wild Catering. Your evening ends with a wonderful time of storytelling while you roast marshmallows and enjoy S’mores with your loved ones around our inviting campfire.
You’ll experience the zoo like never before when you sleep to the sounds of peacock calls and wake to the roar of lions. Morning activities include breakfast followed by a zoo keeper chat.
Each season, you’ll choose from five camping dates. Register for two or more dates and SAVE 10 percent on your camping dues. Multiple registrations must be made together for the discount to apply.
Cost is $30 for adults, $25 for children ages 3 – 21 and FREE for children 2 and under. Reservations must be made at least one week prior to your camping date. Late reservations are accepted, but costs will increase by $5 per person. To make your reservations, click HERE and download a reservation form. Member Appreciation Night, your member VIP all access night, is a special evening that gives only our most important zoo guests – you – VIP access to the Tulsa Zoo.
Join us each September and experience the zoo like never before! Your exclusive activities include behind-the-scenes tours, zookeeper chats, FREE train & carousel rides, live entertainment and more!

Holiday Bazaar is your member-only holiday event held late November / early December each year. We invite you to do your holiday shopping with us! During this special event, you'll enjoy an additional 10% (total 20%) discount on purchases in the Meerkat Market gift shop. Other fun activities include arts & crafts, animal chats & bio fact tables, holiday snacks & drinks, FREE gift wrapping and more.
Plus, don't miss a visit from Santa! Take pictures & chat with Santa
in our gift shop - each family will receive a FREE 5 x 7 photo as well as the opportunity to purchase additional photos through Walgreens.
You'll also have the chance to purchase holiday Gift Memberships & zoo animal ADOPT packages.

Zoo Members also have the opportunity to take advantage of many special activities, promotions and programs throughout the year.
During Member Mornings, a fun benefit for Tulsa Zoo Friends Members only, the Tulsa Zoo opens at 8 a.m. every Saturday, April – October. This special activity allows you to take pleasure in seeing zoo keepers and animals begin their day at the Tulsa Zoo. Available FREE to only the most avid zoo-goers and supporters, Member Mornings offer members a chance to view the zoo early, serene – before the day begins!
Zoo members enter FREE. Associate, Family and Grandparent level members may bring guests; however, guests must pay regular zoo admission. Family Plus level members and above may bring the number of guests allowed on the membership; however all other guests must pay regular zoo admission.
Member Mornings are intended to give members a special glimpse of the Tulsa Zoo – as the keepers, staff and animals see it before guests arrive. Therefore, facilities including gift shops, food services and animal buildings will retain regular operating hours.
