Zoo Friends members enjoy several member-only events throughout the year.
Zoobilee is our annual "Penguin" Egg Hunt! Children enjoy candy, crafts and costumed characters. Parents can capture some cute pictures and receive a professional photo of their little ones with Peter Cottontail, courtesy of Walgreens. This event also includes free train and carousel rides, jupiter jumps, docent chats and more! There is a ticket charge for this event for non-DONOR members. Starry Safari is your chance to spend the night at the zoo! Bring your camping gear and get ready to enjoy the zoo after dark. Your camping fees include dinner and breakfast, train and carousel rides, after-hours access to nearly all of the exhibits, Nature Exchange activities, a presentation by one of our zookeepers, a special guest singer and storyteller, docent chats and of course, S'MORES! We keep a water station and fully-stocked bathrooms open all night to keep you from really "roughing it."
Camping fees are $30 for adults and $25 for children under 21. Babies 2 and under are free. Reservations must be made one week prior to the camp out to avoid an additional $5 late registration fee. Member Appreciation Night is our chance to say THANK YOU for supporting the Tulsa Zoo. This event is free for members (regular admission fees apply for guests) and includes behind-the-scenes tours, zookeeper presentations, train and carousel rides and live entertainment. This really is an event you don't want to miss, so mark you calendars this September!
Holiday Bazaar is your member-only winter extravaganza. Come in out of the cold and enjoy yummy baked goods and hot cocoa. You can even get your holiday shopping done while you're here. We offer discounts on gift memberships, extra savings in the gift shop, special animal adoption packages, and we'll even gift wrap everything for you!
As if gift wrapping weren't enough incentive, we will also have docents giving animal presentations, fun bio-fact tables, craft projects for the kids and a FREE 5 X 7 photo with Santa, courtesy of Walgreens. Holiday Bazaar is a free event.
On Saturdays from April through September, the Tulsa Zoo offers MemberMornings. On these Saturdays, we allow Zoo Friends members to enter the zoo an hour early, at 8 a.m. We know it's early, but when the temperatures rise, it's the best way to beat the heat and see some of our animals at their most active times. It's also the perfect way to avoid those weekend crowds. It will feel like your own, private zoo! Regular admission will apply to any guests you bring with you who are not included on your membership. If you plan to bring guests frequently, check out our Donor Memberships!
