Animal Care and Exhibit Services Volunteers assist the zoo in several ways:

In TARF
We currently utilize volunteers daily in the Tropical American Rainforest Exhibit.  In this area, we have two shifts (morning and afternoon) and require volunteers to station in the public areas, answering questions and ensuring the safety of the animals and guests. 

Specialty Exhibits
During the summer of 2008 we utilized volunteers to help with the Featherfest temporary exhibit.  Here, volunteers helped ensure the safety of guests and animals, sold seed sticks and answered questions.

College Interns
For those of you who are in college, pursuing a degree in biology, zoology or a related field, and interested in a career working with animals, the zoo offers a limited number of unpaid internships in the animal departments.
