There is something indescribable about the look on a child's face when he or she sees an elephant for the first time.  After the initial surprise at the size and strangeness of the beast, curiosity sets in.  How did it get so big?  What does it eat?  How does it sleep?  Where do other elephants live?  The search for answers can set in motion a journey that engages the entire family and will hopefully last a lifetime.

Zoos offer great family entertainment.  Each year in America, more people visit zoos than go to major sporting events, with most attending and bonding with their entire family. Because of this the Tulsa Zoo is constantly striving to build new and improved habitats for our animals and for the guests that learn from them.  The continuous growth is only a possibility because of the support of our community and our friends. Look what the Tulsa Zoo is currently working on building for you!
