4th Grade Environmental Education Program – Survival is the Name of the Game
Students are divided into groups and are guided by docents to four Ed-ZOO-cational stations. The goal of the 4th grade Environmental Education program is to help students to understand the following concepts: The natural world is made up of many “parts”, living and non-living that interact and are dependent on each other. The natural world, however, is always changing. Plants and animals respond to changes in their environment by adapting either with physical or behavioral changes.

Oklahoma Room/Nature's Attic Tours:
Teachers may reserve a tour of the Oklahoma Room and Nature's Attic for their groups. The Oklahoma Room has many biofacts and information about Oklahoma and is a great way to celebrate the Centennial! Reservations must be made at least 4 weeks in advance. Call the education department for details.

Scout Groups:
A “Zoo Trail” guided tour (1.5 hours) is designed specifically for Scouts and similar groups, with the exception of Tiger and Daisy Scouts. During the school year, these tours are scheduled ONLY on weekends, weather permitting. Throughout the remainder of the year, tours may be scheduled during any day of the week. For more scout programs, please click here.

Specialty Tours:
Adult groups and community organizations are encouraged to inquire about specialty tours adapted to the group.
